How To Win At Craps
Most people consider Craps to be the fastest and most exciting
table game in the casino. Cheering can always be heard when
a hot roller who knows how to win at craps is rolling the dice.
But, sadly, some people don't join the cheering crowd because
they don't know how to play, and are afraid to ask. Some people
think craps looks difficult and complicated, when it's actually
quite simple.
Guaranteed to Win?
You may have heard of claims from individuals that they have
the "magical craps strategy" that is guaranteed to
win. Do not believe it. Although some strategies are better
than others, it is mathematical impossible to create a strategy
that would give a player an edge in any game of chance.
If your bankroll is $100.00, how realistic is it for
you to expect to win $100.00 with any craps strategy?
What about $200?
Most craps guru will tell you that a return of 10-20% of your
initial buy-in is realistic, no matter what kind of strategy
you're using.
No one realistically, expect to make 100% return on their investment,
so why should you have this unrealistic goal in a casino. Make
realistic goals both in your winnings & losses and you will
be more successful.
General Craps Hints
- Make a betting selection(s) or establish a pattern of play
to your liking and stick to it.
- If you want to play longer and enjoy the action, stick to
the 'pass/don't pass' and 'come/don't come' bets.
- If you aim to 'hit and run' and winning is a priority, give
preference to high-odds bets.
- Don't plan to win every roll of the dice.
- Raise as you win, lower as you lose.
- Never quit after a win.
Craps Secrets
Is it possible to have a betting edge over the casino? No.
Are there secrets to winning consistently? Yes!
So,how do you win consistently when playing craps?
Here are the secrets of winning consistently. Winning consistently
is easy to understand once you know why people lose consistently.
Here are six main reasons why people lose too often:
1. Greedy Players with unrealistic goals.
2. Players who rely strictly on luck (as opposed to playing
smart).
3. Players with little (or no) discipline (those who deviate
from a game plan).
4. Players who play not to lose (as oppose to playing to win).
5. Players with no game plan.
6. Players with very little knowledge of the game.
Craps Strategy
In general there are three main blackjack strategies: "Classic
Regression", "Three-Point Molly", and "Anything
But Seven". Each focusses on a different aspect of the
game, and no one strategy is better than any other.
Classic Regression
Goal: To make a profit on one hit.
In this strategy, you wait until the shooter has made his/her
point before placing your bets. After the Point is made, place
two units or $12.00 on both the 6 and 8. After one hit, ask
the Dealer to come down one unit on both the 6 & 8.
Results: You now have a $2.00 profit and can no longer get
hurt by a roller "sevening out". In addition, you
now have $12.00 working for you. After another hit, bring down
all bets and wait for the roller to make his/her point or 7
out, then start the process over.
On two hits your net profit is: $21.00. Now depending on how
confident you are, you can come down after the first hit profiting
$14.00 or keep betting on the 6 & 8. If you prefer to keep
your bets riding make sure that both the 6 & 8 are covered.
Behind the Strategy: There are ten combined ways to make a
6 and 8 and six combined ways for a seven.
Three-Point Molly
Goal: To have three numbers working for you at all times.
In this strategy you will make a Pass Line bet and two Come
bets.
Firstly, make a Pass Line bet, then back up your Pass Line
bet with single or double odds. Next, make a Come Line bet.
Backup each Come Bet with single or double odds (up to a maximum
of two Come bets). When one of your Come Bets wins, place another
Come Bet. Continue this process until the shooter makes his/her
Point or Seven-Out.
Behind the Theory: Each time you make a Come Bet you are protecting
your Pass Line bets and taking advantage of a hot roller.
Anything But Seven
Goal: To win on any number thrown except a Seven.
Don't place any bets on the Don't Pass or Pass Line, but wait
until a point has been established. When a point has been established,
place two units on 5, 6, & 8. Next, place one unit on the
Field.
Results: This method is a little riskier than the previous
strategies, since your total monetary risk is: $39.00. Therefore,
it is suggested that you remove all bets after three rolls.
Should the shooter hold the dice for at least three rolls,
you will stand to win anything from $15.00-$27.00(more if the
numbers 2 or 12 are rolled).
Behind The Strategy: The average roller rolls the dice 5 times
before rolling a 7.
Good luck playing, and remember to enjoy yourself - the whole
point of playing thegames is to have fun. If you can win yourself
some money, so much the better!
